That, That Is Art

Psalms 111:4-5 (KJV)
4 He hath made His wonderful works to be remembered: The LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
5 He hath given meat unto them that fear Him: He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
Psalms 113:5-6 (KJV)
5 Who is like unto the LORD our God, Who dwelleth on high,
6 Who humbleth Himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
I love art, I love artists, I don’t love the egotism associated with art. That’s simply because I don’t care for arrogance. I’ve been guilty of it myself, but I’m working on that. The reason I love art, is not only for art, but for what it represents.
Consider a moment, if you combine yellow, red, and blue paint, you get a gray. Combine yellow and red, and you get orange. Yellow and blue make green. You say a child knows that, yes, but Who decided that? Who decided what blue would look like?
Oh, blue is the color of water, but Who decided both water and blue would be that color? God is so amazing that, He not only made the worlds, He made them beautiful. He not only made the colors of the world, He blessed us with the colors of life, and decreed how they would mix together.
Like us all, colors were made to interact. Man was made to interact, both with God, our primary, and each other, the tertiary. If you are an artist, you know that a primary color is something that is a stand alone color. A tertiary color is made up of primary colors, just as orange is a tertiary, but red and yellow are primary colors.
None of us, would be here without God. Without Him, there would not be a here. Without Him, there would not be anything. Yet, He loved us enough to create worlds, universes, and laws, even down to something as simple as color.
Who would have thought that a child’s crayon box, reflected The Love Of God? The blue of Heaven, the Red, His blood, shed for you and I. The orange, the sunrise that His Spirit and Flesh brought to us through the combining of both, and His sacrifice. He didn’t have to explain things to us on such an elementary level, He is God Almighty, but He wanted too.
The four verses I shared, reflect this. Psalm 111 says He is ever mindful of His covenant. Psalm 113 says He humbles Himself to behold the things of Heaven and Earth. God Almighty, The Great and Matchless One, of His Own accord, continuously lowers Himself to watch over us! He loves us enough to humble, or abases His self to watch over us day in and day out.
Oh what love! That God Who is high, loves us enough, not only to make worlds for us, but stoops Himself to shelter, and protect us! That, that is art. That is majesty! That is Love! Before He modeled in the visible Love, by wrapping Himself in flesh, and walking Earth to die for you and I, in the invisible He lowered Himself to watch over us.
So when you look at blue, red, green, or yellow. When you see a sunrise, a crayon box, or the colors of the trees, remember, God painted all of that, just to let us know He loves us. What a masterpiece!
