The Cloud Walker’s Arms

Winds may tare at things around me. Storms may drench my mind. Yet my soul abides above the storm, resting gently in The Cloud Walker’s arms.

Job 28:1 (KJV)

1 Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.

The word vein here can also mean a going forth, the dawn or Eastern sun, a mine, or a watercourse. My mind goes back to the old saying about every cloud has a silver lining. If that’s true, then 2020 has had its share of clouds.

However I am reminded that the Scriptures also say that God rides on the clouds. It did not say He only rode on the soft puffy clouds, or the ones not involved in harsh weather. It said only that He rides on the clouds.

That leaves me to believe, no matter how fierce the storm, God is there. If He is there, then something good can be mined out of every situation. Clear water can flow into the shallowest creek bed, or deepest chasm, and the sun dawns on the darkest night.

Circumstance, the pain of loved ones, and other challenges have been on my mind of late. I’ve been weary, but in each situation God has reminded us “I Am Here.” I would encourage all those facing any trial this day, that God is present. The same book says “He has His way in the hurricane.”

Winds may tare at things around me. Storms may drench my mind. Yet my soul abides above the storm, resting gently in The Cloud Walker’s arms.
